The Queen Of Arts studio is a Shanghai based art space that teaches creative workshops to both adults and children. Class sizes are small and intimate, which allows for a very experimental and exciting exploration of techniques and media in a comfortable and creative space. Alongside regular classes, there will be a range of Christmas themed workshops running, such as stocking and toy making, printing, festive themed home decorations and textile Christmas ornaments. Perfect activities to get into the winter spirit!

 

On October 29th, Chinese and foreign friends from all walks of life donned their pink and green attire and took part in the 8th More Than Aware Luncheon Auction held in Shanghai. The annual event empowers and inspires women to fight against breast cancer through proactive prevention, wellness from within, and sisterhood support. The auction, held at the Kerry Centre Pudong, raised funds for this great cause.

 

 

On Tuesday November 13th Professor Robert Kaplan held a THREE Talk which is an ongoing inspirational speaker series held at the historic Three on the Bund. THREE Talk champions the THREE Spirit of Philanthropy, Sensitivity, and United in Diversity in the contemporary Chinese community as it engages with the world. Since its unveiling in 2006, THREE Talk has seen a roster of eminent global figures take the stage. This platform offers the ideal platform for cross-cultural exchange of ideas and learning.

 

 

Seasonal festivities at The Peninsula Shanghai commence with a Tree Lighting Ceremony and cocktail reception at The Lobby on 23rd November, 2018. Taking inspiration from festive traditions around the globe, the festive season will be brought to life under the new theme ‘Stories from the Tree.’ Six colorful characters – including the nutcracker, gingerbread man and red-breasted robin – will adorn giant Christmas trees in each of our grand hotel lobbies, as well as the abundant decorations that will brighten each property.

 

 

On Friday, November 16th, Shanghai Renai Hospital (International Department) held an unforgettable Thanksgiving party as an appreciation for recognition and support from its customers over the last decade with a buffet, BBQ, music, and painting for children. Happy Thanksgiving!
