SH French School Hosts Asia-Pacific Swimming Championship

The 9th Asia-Pacific Swimming Championship kicked off at the Shanghai French School on May 13th, celebrating Sino-French friendship and previewing the 2024 Paris Olympics. The championships were organized by Shanghai French schools, with the participation of 10 international schools from Australia, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, UAE, Indonesia, and Thailand. Over 250 young swimmers aged 10-17 competed in backstroke to butterfly, showcasing their athletic talents. The event strengthened cultural exchanges and cooperation among French schools in the region. With exciting races and cross-cultural interactions, the event fostered international perspectives and communication skills.

 

 

 

Multiculturalism at YCIS's Community Day

On 11 May, YCIS Shanghai organised a wide range of activities across all campuses to help students understand different cultures and traditions. Students, parents and teachers celebrated the Global Community Day together with laughter and excitement. Wellington Pupils Shine

Four budding entrepreneurs from Wellington College International Shanghai won 3rd place at the finals of the University of Delaware’s Diamond Challenge competing against 4,000 students from 940 teams worldwide. This is the first time a team from China has placed in this prestigious competition. Wellington extends heartfelt congratulations to these trailblazers. Their achievement is a testament to the College's nurturing environment for innovation and excellence.

 

 

 

SCIS Alum Takes Trip Down Memory Lane

 

It was a heartfelt reunion for former SCIS Hongqiao student, Floor Wijsma, as he returned from Holland to Shanghai after a decade. Floor and his father were warmly greeted by the SCIS admissions team for a walk-down-memory-lane tour of the recently revamped SCIS Hongqiao Main Campus. He reflected on the transformative impact SCIS had on his journey. SCIS wish Floor and his father all the best as they return to Holland.

 

 

 

Dulwich Future of Education a Success

On 13th April, the second 'Future of Education Conference', co-hosted by Dulwich College Shanghai and Shanghai Dehong School, was held at the Langham in Xintiandi. Choosing from universities that Dulwich International students have matriculated, four eminent educators and scholars from Oxford, Brown, MIT and Harvard together with headteachers and university counsellors from Dulwich and Dehong gathered to share the latest developments in education with 200 attendees. The event featured presentations from Professor Kim Plunkett of Oxford and Andrew Heald of Brown, followed by interactive discussions and workshops.

Concordia Celebrates International Day

Did you know that Concordia boasts over 30 nationalities under one roof? This unity shines bright during events like International Day 2024, where everyone embarked on a whirlwind adventure of flavors, fun, and cultural flair! The theme was “Many Languages, One Community”, and the Parent Support Organization pulled out all the stops to ensure a day of laughter, love, and community spirit. Attendees were met with brightly colored attractions and costumes, enticing aromas, and fun cultural activities to try.
